Nationally recognized after 33 successful years on television and having worked with the likes of Larry King, Hugh Downs, Chris Matthews, Jay Leno, George Clooney, Katie Couric and many others, Ric now has two radio shows in national syndication.This Week in America with Ric Bratton is on over 100 stations, and growing. The weekly program features nationally-known guests and contemporary topics of interest.

 

The show is recorded for local TV and recently won the Philo T. Farnsworth Award for the Best Professional Talk Show. The award is given by the Central States Alliance for Community Media. The region covers Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky.

 

Ric also is the host of the daily feature Just So You Know that airs on over 40 radio stations nationwide.

His television career has involved news reporting and anchoring, weather, and sports. The Ric Bratton Show was the longest-running and highest-rated local TV talk show in the country

Ric served for 28 years as a chapter president for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and hosted telethons in New York, Boston, Pittsburgh, St. Croix, Lima, Youngstown, Savannah, Flint, Naples, and Lafayette, Indiana. His involvement as host for the telethons since 1975 has helped generate over $20,000,000 for St. Jude; and he has never been paid for his services.

At the 1990 St. Jude National Convention in Detroit, Ric was awarded the St. Jude Man of the Year Award by hospital founder, Danny Thomas. The award is given each year to only one recipient and signifies the nation’s top St. Jude volunteer.

He has been a national board member of the Arthritis Research Institute of America, and in 1990 was one of only five national recipients of the prestigious Bobby Bonilla Award
